Nyligen har irländsk rebellmusik, den musik som berättar historien om århundraden av kamp och högtidlighåller minnet av de som stupat i kampen, kommit under attack.
Trots att det finns många kända band har en sångerska, Eimhear, särskilt pekats ut. Bakom uthängningarna och mediadrevet ligger så kallade Victims Groups, vilka genomgående tenderar på att söka peka ut IRA-aktivitet under the Troubles som kriminell, medan man blundar helt för att den absoluta merparten av civila dödsoffer föll för kulor från den brittiska armén och lojalistiska dödspatruller.
Vi i föreningen Irlandinformation står bakom den irländska frihetskampen, och då självklart även bakom de som via musik och sång söker upprätthålla minnet av de strider som varit samt hålla glöden vid liv för den fortsatta kampen. Vi ser de attacker mot kulturella yttringar som nu försiggår som förkastliga, och vi står med Eimhear!

We stand with Eimhear!
Recently, Irish Rebel Music, the music that tells the story of centuries of struggle and celebrates the memory of those who fell in the struggle, has come under attack.
Although there are many famous rebel bands, a singer, Eimhear, has been singled out. Behind the campaign and the media drive are so-called Victims Groups, which consistently tend to try to point out IRA activity during the Troubles as criminal, while completely turning a blind eye to the fact that the vast majority of civilian casualties fell for bullets from the British army and loyalist death squads.
We in the Ireland Information Group stand behind the Irish freedom struggle, and of course also behind those who, through music and song, seek to uphold the memory of the battles that have been in the past, and keep the spark alive for the continued struggle. We see the attacks on cultural expressions that are now taking place as reprehensible, and we stand with Eimhear!
