Under lördagen den 2/10-21 anordnade föreningen Irlandinformation en stödkväll för den irländska och palestinska frihetskampen tillsammans med organisationen Samidoun Stockholm.
Under kvällen, som var mycket välbesökt av folk i alla åldrar, såldes föreningens merch och det hölls även tre kortare tal. Samidoun berättade om situationen för de palestinska flyktingarna i Libanon, en gäst från föreningen Jord & Frihet berättade om deras stöd till palestinska jordbrukskollektiv genom import av olivolja, och vi i Irlandinformation berättade om hungerstrejken 1981 som det nu är 40 år sedan, men även om de systematiska övergrepp som pågår mot irländska republikaner idag med exempel som Special Courts, Stop-and-searches, och husrannsakningar.
Kvällen måste anses väldigt lyckad, och vi vill tacka Samidoun Stockholm för ett gott samarbete samt ser fram mot nästa tillfälle.
On Saturday 2/10-21, the Ireland Information Group of Sweden organized a support evening for the Irish and Palestinian freedom struggle together with the organization Samidoun Stockholm.
During the evening, which was very well attended by people of all ages, the Ireland Information Group’s merch was sold and three short speeches were also given. Samidoun spoke about the situation for the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, a guest from the organization Land & Frihet told about their support for Palestinian agricultural collectives through imports of olive oil, and we in the Ireland Information Group talked about the hunger strike in 1981 as it is now 40 years ago, but even about they systematic abuses against Irish Republicans today with examples such as Special Courts, Stop-and-searches, and house searches.
The evening must be considered very successful, and we want to thank Samidoun Stockholm for a good collaboration and look forward to the next opportunity
